I'm a second semester junior as of now. Towards the end. Next year in the beginning of senior year, I'll be applying to college. I'll have a UC GPA of 3.5. I know that's pretty low considering the competitiveness of the UCs. I took about 3 APs, 6 honors and about 4 regular. Signed up for 3 more AP's and one more honors. I got As and Bs. Except 2 Cs on my transcript. Both from honors math. I'm just wondering on if I even have a chance at UC's anymore? I'll have over 150+ in community service. I'm close to a 1950 on my SAT, but planning on raising it to atleast a 2000. I've done dancing, acting, writing as extra curricular. Is there anybody out there that's been through this or knows what to do? Should I consider community college and transfer to a UC after 2 years? What UC's do I have a better chance of getting into?

UC-B and UCLA are pretty tough, but there are several others you should apply to. Talk to your guidance counselor and check out the admissions data on the websites of the specific schools. There are some pretty good stats out on the internet if you search “college data” and the name of the UC your are interested in. Best of luck.

Apply to Merced and Santa Cruz u got a chance there
