I blanked out during the essay portion and did not have time to write a nice essay. My thesis was jumbled. I had some superfluous transitions. My first example did not contain much substance. It almost completely replicated what I had said in my introduction. My second example was rushed so I did not have time to check if it matched the prompt (which was about progress and its drawbacks). I have fair confidence that it did, however, but maybe did not explain the connection clearly. My conclusion was written in 10 seconds.
Despite all that, do you think I could score an 8 on the essay? I do not believe my essay was terrible enough to warrant a 5 or lower, but I am worried that a 6 would kill my score.

With all that said, I got an 800 in writing last time. I am pretty confident that this time around I only missed one in multiple choice but a 6 would probably drop my score to the low 700s. The colleges I want to apply to do not superscore.

Sorry since the last day to cancel is literally tomorrow I beg that someone else give me insight. As of now I’m leaning on not cancelling and praying my essay score does not bring me down too much.

Don’t cancel your score. See what you get, if it’s terrible, take it again.

If you make the bed, sleep in it. You blank, deal with it. See your score, learn your lesson, do it one final time. You know you are capable of an 800. Go do it again.
