Should I improve my ACT scores to get into pitt nursing?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying to Pitt nursing with old SAT score of 2140 (M-630, R-720, W-790) and an ACT score of 28. Should I try to improve my ACT in hopes of getting a better math/science score, or will my SAT be sufficient? I’m concerned because my math scores are the lowest and I’m not sure how they will be viewed.

Thx in advance!

i think my D had lower and she was accepted. She decided not to go. I think your scores will also determine any merit aid and she got not for Pitt but did from other schools.

@xcellent44 I have a freshman in the nursing program now. I think the average SAT for M+R for nursing was 1321. I think this info is online somewhere. They also include the stats for the entering class if you go to the nursing info sessions. Apply ASAP if you haven’t already. Good luck!

A 2140 SAT is better than a 28 ACT but I don’t see it hurting your admission chances.

2140 is equivalent to 31-32 on ACT so just submit the SAT
