should i put AMC/AIME on the app?

<p>I read another thread that says that AIME score of 7+ will help on the app, but I myself am not quite sure. I don't wish to seem conceited on the application, and truthfully, I don't see an AIME of 7 as much of an accomplishment, but I'd love to get some other opinions...</p>

<p>i would surely put that on the application. think about it, not everyone who can get an 800 on the math SAT1 or SAT2 can get a 7 on the AIME, so you will distinguish yourself from that group of kids. im assuming you got an 800 or very close. if you didnt do so hot on the SAT maths, just the more reason for you to include it.</p>

<p>An AIME score of 7 is nearly the base score for USAMO qualification. Fewer than 1,000 people get 7 or above on the AIME. It is often said that even merely qualifying for the AIME is worth a mention, even if you don't do well on it.</p>
