should i reapply for NYU

According to my stats. Do you think I have a chance to attend Emory?

@dreamerxoxo I’m just jumping in here, but, IMO, you need to focus. In one post, you say you need to stay home (NY) and take care of your disabled mother, and then in another you are considering schools no where near your current home, saying being at home is not a necessity. You indicate you want to study communications at NYU. But you also are expressing interest in Emory. Does Emory even offer the major you want? What specific area of communications are you interested in?

So, I think you need to prioritize what it is you want. Is it to be near home? Then, I think you could come up with great choices in or near NYC. Sure, apply to NYU again if you want (I think they only take fall transfers for that program). But you should also consider Fordham. Also, check out the offerings at some of the various CUNY’s to see if their programs might be a fit for the specific communications focus you are interested in (Staten Island, City College, Brooklyn? others?). If you think the program takes precedence over staying in/near NYC, then do some research and find some schools with good programs that best fit your needs. You had Syracuse on your list, and there are plenty of other top notch communications programs out there depending on your specific focus (Northwestern, UNC, Marquette, to name just a few). Emory is a great school. Just not one that comes to mind when I hear “communications”. But, obviously, at any of those, you would not be able to take care of your mom then. So, you need to think about and decide what is best for your situation.

And, just my two cents, IMO, Fordham seems to be an ideal compromise of everything. It is an excellent and highly respected school. I has a communications program and it is close to home. If you haven’t already applied, and you are interested in it, you could call and check if they are still accepting applications for this fall. Otherwise, you could just apply for spring.

@‌ dreamerxoxo Who am I to tell you if you have a chance? It’s all a crap-shoot.

@Caliboy1234‌ omg thank you for writing so much. Yes indeed Fordham seems perfect.

Position yourself the best that you can and hope for the best. That’s all it is. Don’t get hung up about it. Trust me.

Hi guys! I just want thank all of you! I got accepted for Fordham
