<p>I currently have a 3.35 overall with 3.29 technical gpa. I am pretty sure that I can bring this GPA up with some other classes... but I do have couple of C's and one C- (which explains why my GPA is so low...). Should I retake the class with C-? Or should is GPA all that matters and just try to bring it up with the remaining courses? (Ideally, I should still be able to graduate with both 3.4 overall and technical.).</p>

<p>How does urbana calculate your GPA for repeated classes? Do they average or replace your grades in calculating your GPA.</p>

<p>You should be fine with a 3.3. Generally as long as your GPA is 3.0+ you’ll be OK. When you get into the 2.X range it seems to raise a lot more eyebrows and more employers will dismiss you on the basis of GPA. At least, that’s my experience with my friends.</p>
<p>Yea, but I am also thinking about masters in CS or a MBA in the future… So I am kind of very worried about couple of C’s I have.</p>
<p>I plan to do some research and a part time job during next semester, and hopefully bring my GPA up to 3.4 I will probably be applying to some schools for masters degree in CS.
I am just hoping that this C- don’t hinder me a lot from admissions.</p>
