Should I take a lab science class instead of a fun elective?

Hello. I am a white, 17 year old male currently in my junior year of high school. I have taken almost all of the available AP sciences at my school (AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1). Next year, I was planning on taking AP Psychology and AP Physics 2 along with AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Spanish.

I am shooting for top 10-20 schools. Will dropping AP Physics 2 for a fun elective class harm my chances in any way. I know I have a lot of AP classes already, but I am going to be entering as a science major, possibly biomedical engineering or cognitive science, and since I know physics is important in engineering, would it hurt my chances to replace the AP Physics 2 class with an elective class if I already took AP Physics 1. My only concern is that I know it is recommended to take a science with a lab in senior year and AP Psychology is a one-period class.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

If going into engineering take the AP physics C. It will not only help you get ready for college, your competitors will also be taking it. For top schools it will be a red flag if your school offered it and you didn’t take it. You can drop one of the other AP to make room for something lighter

You should take one class from each core group: English, Science, Math, and Social Sciences. You are choosing two classes from the Social Sciences group: AP Psychology and AP Macroeconomics. If you drop AP Physics you’ll be left with no science class. Take AP Physics and replace either AP Psychology or AP Macroeconomics with the fun elective.
If AP Physics C is offered at your school, it will boost your college admission chances to take that one instead of AP Physics 2.
