Im making my schedule for senior year and Im wondering if its worth it to double up and take ap chemistry and ap physics c. I am going to do pre med so i know that its not all that relevant, but would it serve any purpose to take both?

I’m in both right now, and honestly, it’s HELL. If I had the chance to go back and change my schedule, I would have never taken AP Chem. AP Physics C is the harder of the two, but Chem takes up more time and is much more boring.
Take both if you are looking for a lot of work and stress. :/

^ Don’t double up. You’ll regret it. take AP psych instead?

Does AP Chem depend on the teacher? I heard that Physics C does entirely (and on calc abilities)

I’m doing both and I’m doing fine. The AP Chem teacher at my school is really really good (92% pass rate last year) while our Physics C teacher isn’t quite so good (I was the only 5 out of his 100+ Physics B kids last year; his C pass rate wasn’t much higher). That being said, if you have a natural knack for science, you should be OK. If not, just pick the one that has a better reputation at your school.

ap chem is really easy there’s really no work or hw involved in my class haha, i think it depends on the person though. some find it difficult, but everyone agrees there’s little work involved. homework is about 2 problems a night

everyone gets 5s in our school too…hmmm…maybe the teacher is just really good?

i think you’ll regret ap physics c though. only one guy got a A in our school (and just barely)! he’s a 2400 sat 4.8 gpa genius T_T

take one take ap chem!
