@Taylerxc - that update is from February 9th…

hahahah yeaahhh i saw that post and i didnt wanna be that guy to break the news to the poster…

lol, ouchhh : P

jackdaniels, did you apply for the debate scholarship?

@madbean
Thanks for the information regarding the TO. I’m glad to hear that what seems like a great program may still be available to those who weren’t accepted in the first wave.

nopee, i didn’t even know there was a debate scholarship !?

Having watched acceptances for the past 8 years or so, it seemed to me that there were no large “waves” like others have suggested. After scholarship acceptances went out in January, regular acceptance letters came out just about every week- usually postmarked on a Friday. For example, S#2 got his acceptance letter around the end of February (no big scholarship) and other friends got their letters throughout March up to the first week in April.

REJECTIONS were sent out ONLY after all acceptances had been mailed- that is during the first week in April.

yeah, a full ride is given every year.

i don’t think that’s the case this year, or else people would be posting about acceptances every week, the first friday in march was the 5th…and no one got anything. unless they start this friday…?

yeah i just looked it up, that’s pretty legit. i had no idea or else i would have applied!

just gonna jump in… i was thinking maybe because spring break is the week of march 15 they want to send the letters beforehand? hehe… wishful thinking…??

Last year I was obsessed with CC as my son was waiting to hear from USC. I don’t know how the admissions office is working this year, but last year my son’s status pretty much remained the same, “your application is being reviewed by the…” Last year the indication of status was determined pretty much by the date. By the first week in March the date changed frequently. They are not doing dates this year, but I will tell you that my son’s acceptance letter was dated on March 9th and he received his acceptance letter on March 17th. It came in a big white envelope. I hope this helps all of you. I wish you all the best of luck. My son is an engineering major and loves it.

my status has been on this since february. hahaha

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

xsangsterr - same here! I keep checking every day and there has been no change whatsoever… I hope it doesn’t mean anything bad?

My status never changed from that and I got accepted, first wave.

I honestly don’t think spring break timing would affect an administrative function such as admissions. I think admissions people take their breath much later.

Thanks cindy, your post gives me hope!

why doesn’t someone just call their admissions office? honestly…

^Why don’t you call instead of asking somebody else to call. I’m just going to wait the latest they are going to release decisions is April 1 so that’s like 3 weeks.

yeah…i don’t want to wait 3 more weeks.

i just got waitlisted at washu and i’m ****ed ugh USC better hurry up and sent out letters
