Hi! My daughter goes to NYU but one of her best friends is at Pace for MT (currently on leave for a tour). I heard their showcase was today! how did it go?? Anyone see it?

It went very well. As of this moment, I dont know if anyone knows of any agent interest, etc. but even before the showcase, a big bi-coastal agent attended their class and signed 7 of them on the spot. Hopefully yesterday was just as successful!

Wow, hilary, that’s fabulous!!! How big is the class?

There are, I believe, 23 or 24 of them. As of today, I know that, with exception of a couple I haven’t heard about, most got called by different agencies and will be having meetings in the next week or so. And most of the 7 that are signing with the earlier agent are signing across the board for modeling/print ads/etc.

And not to change topics but this seems like a good place to list our students jobs for the summer as well. i know people like to hear about summer work rates and so on.
for the 2009 summer season Pace will be represented at (these are what I know of):
MacHaydn Theater, NY (x3)
Quisisana Resort, ME (x5)
Millbrook Playhouse, PA (x2)
Weston Playhouse, VT (x2)
Weathervane Theater, NH (x2)
Surflight Theater, NJ
Naples Players, FL
Company of Fools, ID
Vital Theater Company’s production of Pinkalicious @ 45 Bleecker, NYC (x2)
As well as our students who are continuing their tours with Spring Awakening, Mamma Mia, Spelling Bee and Annie.

I’ll post more post-college/post-semester success as I hear about it !

If you can, let me know who is coming to Company of Fools in Idaho. That’s one of our local theaters with a great line up for summer. Feel free to email or PM me hilary.

We are also in the Company of Fools area…who is coming? and for what show…have to make sure we go see them!

One of our graduated seniors Nick Miller will be playing Starbuck in their production of 110 in the Shade !
