The collegeboard AP awards don't give out money.

The Siemens award is definitely more prestigious because they award to the best female/male in each state. 2 people from each state receive the award, sometimes some states don't even have winners because no one qualified (like my state..).

I took all 7 and got all 5s yet I did not win, (CA) probably because my raw scores and I'm sure I didn't do too well on CS AB because I missed a problem on the FRQ and I bombed the MC for Chem.

Shravas: I'm assuming 8parks11 "combined" Physics C: Mech and Physics C: E/M into one test. Or maybe he forgot about Enviro Sci or some other science AP.

yeah there is none for the state winners. i think at the most, ill be mentioned at school's award ceremony. and of course, our principal (who all the students agree has certain queer essence in his movements) will give me a sticker on my collar. the stickers in the past have been the worst experience in high school. :P

I'm a little confused.. Siemens AP award winners aren't announced publicly until the middle of April, yet we've already all been contacted? What's going to happen between now and April that requires so much time?

does anyone know how competitive California is in this contest? if anyone lives in california or knows someone who won, how many of the 8 APs did they get fives in?
