So do you have a senior class ring?

I regret spending the $300 on mine.

No. I don't even have my paper diploma or yearbook. Heck, I didn't even go to my graduation.

No way!

I skipped graduation as well. I ate pizza, played videogames, and watched movies with friends instead. In retrospect, it was a great decision for me. I have my diploma and awards, but only because my high school sent those to me.

I also dislike Herff Jones... I hope that company didn't sell the ring to you.

Lol, yep, it was Herff Jones...

I went to my graduation because it really was more for my parents than anything else. That and I was required to deliver a speech.

Herff Jones does a lot of schools. Every school I know has Herff Jones do their rings, cap and gown, memory book, etc.

I told my mom I did not want a ring. It just seemed like a waste of money to me. When I look at the seniors who bought rings that were almost $1000 they hardly wear it. Also, when they go to college they forget about the ring altogether and rarely wear it.

I think class rings are a bit tacky, actually.

I do own a 1920s ring with real diamonds that I wear all the time, gift from my mother... Probably cost about the same :) and I'll actually wear it in college!

Why would I want to marry my school?

Herff Jones... hah. Yeah. No thanks. I'll consider getting one when I'm a senior in college. High school class rings are silly.

My school that I transferred to doesn't have them. I remember I bought one from Junior High graduation.. it's somewhere.. haven't seen it since. hahah

I'd rather be spending it on AP exams. Which... I will be doing.

But [OP], since you've purchased it already, might as well not regret it. It's a keepsake for all the drama, trauma, and the rush to the best college your 4 years of HS was likely composed of. Hopefully not The pinnacle of your life, but probably up there; a concrete souvenir makes the recollections from your older self all the better.

No. The rings offered at my school were generics made by some stupid company. I don't even like jewelry, anyways. And it's not like graduating from high school is some kind of great achievement... MAYBE I'll get one now that I am at UF, but it seems so expensive... I can think of better ways to spend $600+. If it was $300 or so I would consider it more...

And just to join the crowd, I skipped my high school prom AND my graduation, too (although I had a excuse for the graduation; I had to go to UF for preview purposes). I was perfectly happy to let my diploma sit at some school warehouse, too, but my mother forced me to go get it. We had to get a check from the school anyways, so it was on the way.

Nope. Dont have anything from HS or my undergrad, didn't go to either graduation or anything like that.

I won't get a ring when I graduate. Why would I care about where I went to HS years from now?

Wow, there are a lot of cynical people here on this board lol. I too, could care less about getting a senior class ring but I'm surprised by all the people who just skipped out on graduation. Yeah it's a pain (and probably long and boring as well) but it's YOUR graduation and it's nice to end your high school/college career with some sort of ceremony. Even though I'll probably want to be somewhere else during my graduation ceremony, years down the road I know that if I don't go I'd regret it a lot.

We got class rings junior year at my school...
