I took 28 units at LBCC and rest at Cerritos at the same time but they asked me for my high school info and I gave them my information for LB Wilson High. I called just now and they said my GPA was not good enough for my major. I thought that was strange since not only am I a local but since they asked for my high school standing, my GPA then was a 3.9 unweighted and 4.57 weighted. As for hope, its all nice and well to be optimistic but I gotta start planning for rejection from all. The only option I see is changing my major to Bioengineering so I can take more classes to raise my GPA without them being useless.
SIGH I gotta get prerequisite clearances for biology…another long year.
Well, better luck next year.
Hey, did they ask you for your high school info as well?

No, they didn’t. I’m really surprised that you were rejected. I guess technically since you’re only considered local if you’re 30+ units at LBCC, and you were 28 units… but that’s so bogus. Honestly, I’d try to appeal, if it’s your only option. Otherwise, I wonder if any Cal States are doing spring admission for 2012. You could definitely get into Cal State Fullerton (or probably almost any other Cal State) with that GPA.

Well after this semester, it would have been 32units but either way if I had to go through so many hoops, might as well wait another year and apply to a UC for a better engineering program. I asked if I could appeal but I was told between the lines that I could appeal but most likely they won’t accept it because my case is pretty cut and dry and not an extreme condition. Well whatever, I might put in more efforts if it was Cal Poly or as I said, a college with a really good engineering program. It just sucks that if I change to Bioengineering, it becomes an impacted major at most UCs.

Hi guys, I’m new here.
I called the system and also got “admissions decisions has been made”. Not sure what that means. I wonder if they’re going to reject me because I’m still working on my golden 4 and one of them at another community college which they probably don’t know about. Not sure if I will be rejected on basis of them thinking I won’t complete that class. Is there a way to clear that up?

Yikes. You should have sent all the transcripts from all your schools. At this point you will probably have to appeal. But you can call the admissions office and get the scoop.
