Just kidding! With all this moving-in stress, I'm going a little nuts and am trying to maintain a non-nervous attitude by being a little out-of-mind. Good luck to everyone!

But in reality, I got an e-mail from Prof. Halpin saying I need to get his lecture notes + ARIS + clicker + textbook. Does anyone have any idea on how to get these for a cheaper price than what NYU Bookstore has to offer? To be honest, I'm on a strict budget here and for my other books I'm just going to scrap by and get cheaper and bind-broken versions.

Is there a way to rent this package too from the NYU library? Any help, CC NYU people? I'm kind of stressed!

I took Chem last year with Halpin and you should probably buy the lecture notes new so you can write your own notes in them. The textbook you can definitely buy used (or even possibly borrow from the library but you need it all year). I think you can buy a clicker used too but it may be easier to buy a new one that you can use in the future too. What’s ARIS? If it’s the model set, don’t buy it. I didn’t even open my model-making set and I still did fine in the class. Also Logger Pro you can share with someone else in the class so just split the cost of the CD.

Textbook - bought used on Amazon, check out Textbooksrus and Chegg too
the international version is really cheap, but the problems at the end of the chapter are different, another poster here suggested photocopying those pages from the reference textbook in Bobst

Aris card + Lecture notes - I guess either get this from NYU or a student who took the class. Aris is the system we submit our homework on (the email said this) and you need the lecture notes.

Clicker - in the past they used CPS, now they use an iclicker…I bought mine from a friend who took Gen Chem over the summer, so ask around.

LoggerCD - only costs like $2 and i hear we need it

Thanks guys! It’s good to know easier ways to get around without breaking the bank. csh, I’ll definitely find a book online and get the lecture notes from the bookstore, and Aliks, I’ll look around and ask any previous Chem I students.

Do you still have the iclicker/Aris Card, Aliks? I guess since I’m moving in I can actually get these materials from you =D. I’ll buy them off you!

If not, any suggestions where I can ask around?
