So... uh... when do OA'ers arrive again?

hobbes, do people ask you depressingly stupid questions like "Do you live in an igloo?" and "Do you hunt whale?" Just curious.

You moved to California?? But you were our token Alaskan! very w t f, how could you?

WAIT! i'm coming on the 2nd, how do i get my keys then so i don't hafta stay in a hotel?!?!?! pleaaassee tell me ASAP! :D

call your college your coming early, get there before 5 PM (i think).

zante, sorry :( my dad wanted us to move to california because there is more opportunities here for my little brother. there really isn't all too great educational system in ANC, compared to the lower-48. but i don't really consider this my home, just a stepping-stone until college. it's purgatory :D

chichi, the answer to your question is, ALLL the time. :D

where in california did u move to? i cant really imagine cali being boring :D. peggy, call ur college, u can arrive really anytime, they make arrangements for those arriving after 5 tho =P

I'd like to live in an igloo.

im in cypress right now, right next to cerritos. but here, i have no friends, car, or family (other than immediate). so it is very boring for me :(

qtip, lol, i'd like to live in one too :D

Haha, yea, CA is really laidback. Nice weather tho. That's one thing I'm going to miss when we go east coast in gasp how many days??

haha oh oh, i arrive next friday =P...gotta get packing :-X!

lol, i went to walmart yesterday with my sister. i dont even know what i bought. she did every thing O_o

"jay, you're totally gonna need this"
"***? a lint roller? a scissor? can't i just use the teacher's?"
Blank stare of hopeless pity

yeah, not goodd..............

I've been dorm shopping like ever day and I have yet to find the perfect sheets. Seriously though, this twin XL business is so stupid. The selection of Twin XL sheets sucks! Boo

haha. umm my sheets are blue, my comforter is blue, my pillow is blue, my blankets are blue....oh and t he same shade too =P.

Well I bought this beautiful comforter that's light turquoise-ish...hard to describe. But now nothing matches with it! I can't even find dark blue sheets. :(
And I've been on a pink high lately so I got all this random stuff in hot pink (shower caddy, fluffly pillow). My room is going to look like teletubbies threw up =/

Delicious!

I ordered all my sheets off the Internets. I got them from JC Penny's website - it's a Hawaiian design (surprise, surprise). But they haven't arrived at my New Jersey location yet, so I got stuck buying crappy normal sheets from Sears.

I've been going crazy buying room decorations and, more importantly, local food. Where will I get my next li hing moi hit? Or my mochi crunch? Or my macadamia nuts? WHERE?!!!

hugs knees and rocks back and forth

well there are nice things that mommies do like care packages =P. haha. i know my mom sent my brother a buncha asian stuff throughout the year :D. just suck up to ur parents A LOT before you leave and then they will send you yummy food all year long. mwa ha ha ha

yum, macademia buts. is li hing moi an alcoholic drink?

if you're short in cash, i find complaining about being weak with hunger works wonders.

hehe. w's. stupid h.

lol I love that "macadamia buts" typo.

No, li hing mui's not an alcoholic drink. It's really a powder, actually, that people coat candies in. And it's REALLY good. I'm bringing a pound of li hing mango with me.

http://www.tropicislemusic.com/food/snacks9.htm

it looks delicious. mmmmm exotic hawaiian food... macademia buts.

i have a question. this one time i met a girl from hawaii and she kept saying it like, Hawa(inflection)-(slight break)-ee. is that the correct way of saying it? or did she just have some weird lisp?

No, she was pronouncing it ALMOST correctly. If you want to be a true Hawaiian snob, you gotta pronounce the "w" like a "v". So it's actually "Hava-(little pause)-ee." No joke. However, you can't say "Hava-(little pause)-eeans" because that's just silly.
