So... uh... when do OA'ers arrive again?

We had a rotating schedule too except instead of colors we used letters A-F. And we had short wednesdays and our scheduled lunch and break would randomly change. too. But what was especially fun was when the school day would be extended by 30 minutes for assemblies and mass, instead of, y'know, making classes shorter.

man you guy's classes sound pretty complicated. we just jad 1-6 classes everyday. I think... actually.. i dont really remember

At one point during my senior year, my school declared a snow day on a day with no snow. Just because we hadn't had one, the headmistress was away, and the Dean of Faculty gave in to demands. This was after several weeks of students getting up in Assembly to perform propaganda skits involving snow days. Evidently since then it has been an annual tradition if it hasn't snowed by late February...

Freshman year of high school, I had a nine-day rotating schedule. Instead of remembering which classes you had each day, it was easier to remember which class out of nine you didn't have. The next year I had partial-block (Tuesday and Thursday block days). The school I attended for junior and senior years had a four day week with internships on Wednesdays. The class schedule was pretty random; I can't actually remember the organizing principle if there was one, except that the Tuesday schedule would always be the Tuesday schedule (no numbers, no colors, just a four-day rotation), and all classes got equal time (obviously). Actually, that's not that different from the Princeton schedule.

Returning to the topic on hand. Do you know if international students that go OA can check in on Sept 2? Or is there any other type of accomodation for early arrival by internationals?

Revan - I'm prety sure int'ls can come into their dorms Sept 2. However, you have to give the OA office a call to get on a 'list' they'll check arrivals from.

This may sound weird, but my school lets out every day at exactly 2:24. They added an extra 4 minutes to the end of every class because apparently they will add up to a couple extra days by the end of the year (to make room for snowdays? even though we get pansy weather here...)

we can check in on the 2nd? really? that's good to know. are you sure?

axfr - you need to be coming from the West coast or further to do that, sorry : /.

where are u from axfr? basically anyone that is mountain time/pacific time and west can come.

and even that....my flight is at like 8 am and i still arrive at pton campus after 5 :( haha

France? that's further than the west coast...

If I'm going to be arriving on the 3rd, do I need to call ahead to get my key? And if so, what's the phone number? (I'm in Forbes btw)

france definitely doesn't qualify. they only let west coast people.

juuuuuuusstttt kidding! i think france will do it for ya

hehe
so who's going to be on campus on the third of september?
we should make a list and then meet up.

Ooh ooh, I will be there at around 10 AM, sept. 3 .. i think...

i will. i get to campus around 5-6pm on september 2

holy crap.. that's tomorrow!
