<p>It was my understanding that they would release decisions starting nov 9 and then once every other week after that for early response applicants. Apparently they're just releasing them on a rolling basis like last year.</p>
<p>It probably helps them out a little bit with planning...I am guessing they will start getting enrollment deposits within the next few days. They overshot for the class of 2011 and probably don't want to do so again.</p>
<p>Releasing the decisions - before the Nov 1 EA deadline for many schools - might be a strategic move. Getting a nod early from Michigan might dissuade some students from applying EA to other schools. Maybe this way, Michigan can prevent losing them to the competition.</p>
<p>They had apps in that had been evaluated and were clearly admissable. There was no reason to sit on them and make them wait until November 9th.</p>
