so who's planning on enrolling, if you get in?

hey all,
I got into CMC ED-II, and so I'm going for sure and I'm excited as hell about it! just wondering where CMC was on all of your lists. how likely is it that you'll be attending, if you're admitted?

If admitted, it's my number 1 choice by far. All dependent on fin. aid though

cmc is definitly my #1 choice by a longshot.
id take it over any of the ivys

I'd take it over any Ivy, but it's not my '#1'. But I got in, I'd probably come(hurray self-doubt!). I'd absolutely love to attend, but that is the advantage of all the great schools in the US, so many options to be happy at.

i'd enroll :) but my chances are horrible :(

how is financial aid for those accepted? prolly terrible huh?

6th best Financial aid (according to Princeton Review. well, it's actually "Students Happy with Financial Aid")

But I'd enroll if I were accepted, only its a huuuuge reach for me.

i dont believe in the princeton review rankings. they are awfully skewed depending on who fills out the survey. I could only imagine some kids checking favorable boxes just because they like their school, but wont necessarily reflect the shady sides.

My daughter got her best financial aid offer by far from CMC. They are need blind and meet 100% of need. CMC is one of only a few schools in the country that has this policy.

It is a great school-good luck to all of you!

um, actually, most schools meet 100% of need. In fact, about 20 schools (yale, princeton, pomona, wesleyan, haverford, etc...just to name a few) meet financial aid WITHOUT LOANS; CMC doesnt.... loans suck.

Correction: A lot of schools SAY they meet 100% of need. But when School A determines your expected contribution (fairly accurately) to be, say, $10,000 per year, and School B determines it to be (ridiculously and painfully) $25,000 per year, do they both REALLY meet 100% of need? No, not quite :-p

i still think cmc probably doesnt have good financial aid compared to its competitors. I will have to wait to find out. You guys can report to me when u guys get it ;)

donjuan - CMC is very well known for giving out VERY good aid. Just search CMC and financial aid here on CC and you will see many mentions of the great aid. They even will pay for internships and other such things, the parts missed by most schools fin. aid. That is why CMC ranks so high in Princeton Review - they go above and beyond.

In my daughter's case 100% of need at all her other schools was $15,000. 100% of need at CMC was $24,500. There were no loans as part of the package.

She has also had two wonderful internships and great resume building part time jobs arranged through the career office. Can't say enough good things about CMC.

i hope you people are right. I am very disenchanted with school's financial aid awards. I am poor and when i got accepted to USC, they supposedly meet 100% of need, and i got 10 thousand in loans. I hate loans.

definitely my top choice if I get in. Not my parents', but I'll work on them.

10 days until we hear.. yikes.

CMC announced on March 17 that it will no longer package financial aid awards with student loans. Instead, they will be increasing the scholarship grant amount in those packages.

All the more reason to hope that I get in! That's great news from CMC about grants. I live in England (overseas military schools all my life) and want nothing more than to go to a great LAC in sunny California.

CMC's financial aid is amazing. Btw, this yr theyre starting a no-loans policy

I'm definately going to CMC next year =]

I'm waiting on Pomona, but there's a pretty good chance I'll be a stag next year :)
