Someone, Anyone, Answer Y or N

It is my understanding that the writing portion of the SAT will be covering for the formerly required third SAT II at Penn. If I have 3 SAT IIs that are better than my writing score, will all three be used towards the AI computations or is it mandatory that the writing section and then the two highest SAT IIs are used? THANK YOU.

I don't believe that Penn calculates an AI (or at least they don't tell anyone they do)

david is right

I think they actually might. Or they did at the time that "A is for Admission" was published. But really...you're thinking into it too much. One SAT II score isn't going to make the ultimate difference in their decision.

i think the key is holistic analysis of each applicant...

If you had to use AI though, Penn would definitely use your Writing score in one of the slots... They give W the same weight as CR + M.

third sat ii?????????? penn required 3? really now. well then... didn't know that... and i'm going to penn in the fall. not to mention i only took 2 actual sat iis.

i don't think penn will look at 3 sat iis and not look at the writing score. it is part of the sat now, and penn requires the new sat and 2 sat iis. but on the bright side, you have 3 for them to choose from.
