something to keep your mind off the fact that it's less than 25 hours!

Ok, i visited yale once during the summer, just to tour the campus and get a feel for it. then, i signed up for an overnight visit on their website thing. i arrive in new haven (after visiting bc the day before and taking the train down) and i have to share my host. does that seem weird to anybody? it really put a damper on my visit, and i think that is why yale is not my absolute number one any more. it shocked me that yale didn't have one-on-one hosts. was this just me?

maybe it was a fluke. but i definitely put a bad taste in my mouth. but on the other hand i saw phaedra's love at the yale rep and it was AMAZING.

comments please...

I had to share my host too, but it didn't really bother me. The other girl was really nice and we hit it off right away. Plus, we were sort of co-hosted. Our host had several roommates and a large group of friends. We were passed off between different students depending on what classes we wanted to go to. I thought it was a little odd, but it didn't bug me.

as a frequent host lemme say this-
we double up for a lot of reasons. maybe kids aren't available to host (it's voluntary) that particular night. so anyone that IS available gets two of you kids. maybe they want you to meet other nervous prefrosh and bond. i've had more doubles and singles. it's no big conspiracy and it shouldn't be something negative. it just..happens cuz kids want prefrosh in the first place. if they know i love prefrosh, they'll give me two.

see, that was the thing. i didn't really get along with the other girl. and also, she got there first, so she had met the host before i had, and they hit it off right away. and i think it had to do with the fact that i had been traveling and it was raining.
