S is a sophomore. Decent grades (A's and B's). Captain of HS soccer team. Lots of friends. Quite popular. Unfortunately, he hates school. At least once a week, he refuses to go despite all of the drama and threats that come from his actions. He is extremely lazy and does the absolute minimum to scrape by academically. We have suggested attending another school, but he claims that there is no school on the planet that he could tolerate. We have had him tested, and the tests did not reveal any learning difficulties. DH and I are at the end of our rope. Any suggestions? Any suggestions for boarding schools that might be appropriate? We live in NJ.
