SOPHOMORES! What are YOU going to do over summer? :)

Hey all sophomores out there, what are you all going to do over summer? =] post post post

For one. I'm taking an 8-week long SAT Prep Course. Should prep me in CR, W, and Math. I'm also going to be visitting colleges around California. who's up next =]

I'm taking Trig at the local university and AP US Government and AP Microeconomics through Apex. Going to California for a family reunion, but hopefully will get to tour a college or two. I also want to learn how to ride a unicycle, how to play the guitar, and how to fence.

interning at georgetown medical center and hopefully with a congressman (its been like 3 months and he hasn't replieddd)

and SAT prep

haha Twitchy. sounds like a very productive summer. in all aspects

Good luck with the unicycle, Twitchy. My advice? Find a very, very, very patient friend to be used as human "training wheels". It works like a charm.

Living at the golf course all day all week.

I am not a sophmore but that is what i did last summer, i am a junior now.

Columbia University's summer program in July, volunteering, going to Seattle for a wedding, SAT prep, and then a lot of sitting on my butt.

1 week mission trip within USA, 2 week mission trip to Cambodia, possibly tutoring english while stay at korea, taking a couple courses in community college, sat prep, soccer camp, church leadership training

Do APEX courses help with college admissions?

whoops I accidentally posted in the JUNIORS thread, I hope they don't come after me with torches and pitchforks..x_x.

So first I am going to India for three weeks con mi familia :) I want to major in Journalism and my great aunt is the editor of Femina and she has been an editor at the Times of India so maybe if I'm really lucky I could get something published. Then I'm coming back and going to Stanford Newspaper by the Bay camp to work on my journo skills and get some critiques! Then I'll stay at home and do some summer pre-reading for American Lit Honors, and if I am finished with that, I will buy a used APUSH book and see if I can interpret Degler. Afterwards I'm going to VBI camp at UCLA to work on my debating skills! :) yay.

This summer I'm going to find myself in a wildnerness trip. Woohoo!
Whitewater rafting, backpacking, getting thrown out in the middle of Montana on my own for a few days, and ascending a 12,000 foot peak in the northern Rockies among other things. I can't wait.

Other than that: cramming for the SATS, summer homework, researching biology at UCB, dance practices, football practices, wrestling camp, volleyball at the rec, learning how to play the guitar and sing, and most of all SLEEEEEP. I'm looking forward to a productive summer.. I just can't wait until AP exams are over. =[

SAT Prep, Volunteering, Visit the Getty Museum every week

taking a class through CCS Web Acadamy (still unsure on what class), taking AP Microeconomics via Apex Learning. On top of that I am going to be working at Kerr Drug (i am a pharmacy technician)... then there is this Yearbook camp thing in Hilton Head, SC that our yearbook staff is attending (i am supposed to be editor next year)...besides that, i will probably just hang out and relax

SAT Prep, Lot of Basketball and Crew, and hopefully a job. Having trouble finding job at a pharmacy.

Well i am not a sophmore yet but i'm probably going to work at my closest hospital and do research with Profesores at Hunter College.

^^ Oh and forgot to add. Gonna hit the beach to have some Summer fun!

Taking Pre-cal at the local summer school program, volunteering for the Red Cross, and maybe taking Spanish II online. Also, I'm probably going to visit Germany for the World Cup for a few days.

Oh, and I forgot to ask this, but...What is APEX? Some sort of online academy? And does it help?

oh right! World Cup's comin'!!
