What I'm going to say may seem completely out of whack, but I haven't even stepped foot on the college I committed to, and I may already be interested in tranferring back to UMD. I have just graduated high school, and will be attending NC State in the fall. After careful consideration, I have decided that I will probably end up back in Maryland anyways, so I was thinking what the process is for a student who will apply as a transfer without any college grades to submit. But, I have already gotten into UMD spring semester as a regular student, and not a transfer student. Do I still fill out the transfer application, or do I take them up on their offer of admission for the Spring of 2013 as a regular student? Some people at my school are going to community college first, and then entering in the spring semester. Is that any different for me or what?

Clearly, the only answer that matters is the one you get from Admissions. Call them in the morning.
