Specificity of Deadlines

Most of my schools' applications are due on Jan 1. I understand that I have to send my application + supplement by that time.

Questions:
1) If the community college I took many classes at doesn't send my transcripts to the colleges until Jan 2 (arriving probably the next week - Jan 9), is that okay?

2) I sent in all of my SAT and ACT scores. For some schools, I plan on taking the January SAT and the Feb. ACT. How can I tell them this? Is there a location on the Common Application where I can mention this?

3) If I do mention #2 on the application, then will they ignore the scores I have sent them and wait for me to send in new scores?

Thanks!

1) Not a problem. The deadlines refer the the items over which you have control.

2) List the tests with dates and no scores. However, check the websites of the colleges you've listed to see if they accept the January and/or February tests. Many might accept January; few will accept February.

3) Maybe, maybe not.

Okay. Thanks! :]

Chedva said it all except

3) They will not ignore the scores you sent.

They might look at your new scores, and if they do they will compare it to your previous scores. If you get the same score or a few point higher then its pointless. If it worse...God I hope it isn't worse. If it's noticeably higher then it will show that you can improve over time. Potential will be seen.
