Wait how did you guys log-in to housing? Which NetID do you use? @DukeSilver17 @hugoblack

Never mind, got it! @DukeSilver17 I’m having the same issue as you, the system won’t allow me to choose my room preference… Weird =/

@rdlp123 I got mine at 12:30pm this afternoon

I hope CAS comes out with decisions soon too.

Congrats to all three of you! Hopefully the rest of us will be as lucky. =) Keep us updated as to how the whole process works.

Were you all CALS applicants?

Yeah I was CALS.

How do we receive our transfer credit evaluations? Do we get that in the mail or is it an online resource?

I was CALS as well. @DukeSilver17 I believe we get it in the mail.

Do they send out ILR decisions at the same as CALS decisions?

Hey! Sorry I’m so late at getting on this thing. I am also a CALS transfer applicant for spring. It’s so exciting that people are already hearing back. Congratulations to all who got in! I’m still anxiously waiting… I keep checking my email every ten minutes, I’m so nervous/excited

@Smashlye95 Welcome! I hope you get accepted!!

UPDATE: So to any of you guys that might be behind on getting your financial aid stuff in, I just spoke with Cornell’s financial aid department since my “to do” list only popped up this past weekend and I’ve been scrambling to get everything together. (Because I’m a slacker, you see) The rep reassured me that it wasn’t a huge deal, and the only repercussion might be that my fin aid package wouldn’t show up at the same time as my decision to the college. So don’t freak out if you’re still missing a doc or two!

Thanks! That’s a relief haha

@DukeSilver17 thank you and congratulations on your acceptance!

@fortsibut that is so great to hear! I know my parents have been so overwhelmed with all the info we have to turn it. It seems like every time we think we’ve got it completed there ends up being one more thing missing

@DukeSilver17

Do you think I’ll find my decision out much later than most since I wasn’t able to submit my mid term report until november 4th?

@jmeltz94 What does your ApplicantID portal say? Does it say your materials have been received and sent to committee for review? If so, when did it first say that? If it still doesn’t say that, then you should expect a delay in your decision.

@DukeSilver17 @Steffy16 (and everyone else who heard back today) - CONGRATS!! You guys are awesome and definitely deserve this. Hope you all have a blast in Ithaca this spring!!

Thank you @Coriander23!!

Ok so I feel really nosey asking this but for those of you who have gotten in would you be up for sharing what you think helped (high GPA, any special extra curriculars etc.)? Please don’t feel obligated to answer I’m just so nervous/ curious as to what they are accepting and looking for.

I think since its rolling admission sending in the midterm report early helped get an early decision, but thats just my speculation.

Thank you @Coriander23 !

Thank you for that info @fortsibut, what a relief. Is it just me or is the financial aid causing more stress than the actual application? Lol

@Smashlye95 I feel like I had a really strong “Why biology and why Cornell” essay, and my LOR’s were really strong as well. I think my GPA (4.0) and the fact that I’m a non-trad transferring from a CC also helped… It’s been said that if you’re transferring from a CC that has a matriculation agreement with Cornell, and meet the major requirements, you have a slightly increased chance of acceptance. It’s by no means guaranteed entry, but it does make a small difference I think.

I hope this helped! Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.
