@ryan96 do let us know how your interview goes. Best of luck!

I was contacted for the alumni interview. It is going to be over the weekend in the Chicago west suburbs. Looking forward to it.

Welcome to everyone new!!

I have a quick question. i was reading somewhere on another admissions website that interviews would not be offered in time for QuestBridge Applicants. Does this apply to Stanford as well?

Did you guys email an brief autobiography about yourself to the interviewer? Should I email any info to mine?

@Hawkace I just set up an interview for next week. I asked my interviewer if there is anything she would like me to bring (like a resume, etc.). She said she doesn’t look at additional documents, and that I should not prepare anything for her.

I think the alumni are really just trying to uncover the people behind the grades and ECs in a loose manner, but there’s no harm in asking your interviewer if you are unsure.

Applying Regular Decision, but now that the early action applications are done i thought I’d look here, since this is my first choice regular decision school…does anyone know how much weight Stanford puts on first quarter grades (i saw the thread on this in the Stanford forum, but I thought I’d get other applicants’ perspectives)

I’m not sure about first quarter grades @soccerlover17 . I feel like they want to see that you’re keeping the same standard (if not better) during your senior year. My school goes by six weeks, and our semester grades are finalized right around winter break. so for me they wouldn’t even matter for REA (which kind of sucks haha)

my first quarter grades are all As in my 4 ap classes (not sure yet on spanish) but B+ (89) in creative writing and A- (92.37) in health lol. I’m just bringing a resume to my interview, if he wants it, then great, if not cna’t hurt right? should i call them?
and what do you guys think of my chances lol. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1665423-downwards-trend-poor-class-rank-high-aspirations-will-chance-back.html#latest

Hey @siemenscomp , do you have any insight on interviews or any suggestions?

did anyone else go to https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/application-status and then receive a email saying SAT/ACT scores not processed? thanks

@justwanttolearn1 yep
should be processed by next week though

Same, not processed yet. But it says wait 2 weeks.

@justwanttolearn1 I logged into axess and the email says that the only thing I am missing is the fee waiver request. The last scores that I sent were this past ACT. I know they haven’t gotten them yet, however the status is showing that I have everything in since I’ve submitted my previous tests before to Stanford as well.

Also, I don’t think I’ll get an interview, but I’m not too stressed about it. My friend who applied at the same time as me (literally on the same day) already received an email regarding an interview on Wednesday.

Aaaaaaahhhh!!! What to do to make this next month go by faster???

Don’t worry @emenya!! Maybe they just have their hands full for the time being. Hopefully you’ll receive some notice soon

36 days

Lol I hope so too @SaphLieRe

…22 days for me… … But I don’t want to get rejected/deferred before everyone else :((

@emenya how come you’re getting your decision earlier?
I kind of wish I got mine earlier so I can just be done with if a rejection is coming

Also finally from the axess email I’ve learned that the SAT scores have been processed.
