Thanks a lot! You’ve managed to settle my nerves a bit haha #:-S

Does the November SAT have time to reach Stanford before admissions?

Wow… to everyone here, best of luck! I’m applying this year as well.

I’ve been reading about all the students with the 2400/800/36 Scores, Olympiad medals, Intel and Siemens, so many hours, 4.0s, and wow I am not even a patch on those kids. I thought I had a less than decent chance with my less than perfect stuff, but now I am completely hopeless (lol).

I see some of you guys who don’t have perfect scores or big medals, but are just nice people willing to give other people advice and help when they need it. It’s something I’ve come to observe as a consequence of spending so much time on College Confidential, and when I see multiple posts from the same users, I AM able to form a portrait of these users as smart people with great scores, but most importantly, people who are nice to others on the internet and helpful, and funny, and yada yada… I sure hope that the officers reading your apps will be able to form the same portraits! And guys, I have lost all hope solely due to my grades, so guys whatever you do, don’t screw your grades up! Even though you’re in your senior year, they will still be seen. It sucks to feel so hopeless and regretful as I am right now, and I want none of you to go down the same path.

Best of luck!

Uh guys, I have a quick question. If I designated my score to be reported to Stanford when I took it (april 2014), I don’t have to send it again specifically for admissions do I? I was under the impression that I didn’t, but when I check on axess it says they haven’t received an ACT/SAT score from me…

just call them up and see

@narmanc You don’t have to feel discouraged. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I think we are all fearful of something or another is sure to not get us in. But it’s okay! I’m so scared, but I’m still happy about it all the same. And I feel even better when I see how nice and supporting everyone is of one another. Just kill those essays. That’s all anyone can do!!

@Dragon23 I don’t think you’d have to send them in, but I agree with nagintapls. Just call them up to be sure.

@emenya You’re right. But it is hard not to feel discouraged. Oh well, all we can do now is give it our best… who knows the next time you reply to me may be as a fellow student at a Stanford event? ahhaah lol

I finished my app, but I’m waiting for people to review my app. Can’t wait to click that submit button.:D

I’m keeping in mind that my chances are extremely low so that I don’t get disappointed. Keep your expectations low and if you have a backup college that you are really excited about, if you don’t get in, you will be still happy.

45 days until we receive our decision!

submitted ! (:

Submitted my app today! The countdown begins. I’m going for CS - CS+Linguistics if possible.

Where is everyone from?

I’m from North Carolina !

You guys think it’s going to come out on the 12th this year? They’ve published results a few days early–usually on a Friday–for the last few years I think

I’m from NW Indiana here. Just submitted my app yesterday! Good luck to everyone who applied.

Los Angeles area here. Let’s hope I don’t get crushed by Harvard Westlake and all the other feeder schools nearby.

My interviewer just emailed me :D

I applied 15 days ago.
@StanfordOneDay
still haven’t heard from an interviewer, apparently no one in our region got one last year. w/e.
