***Stanford Class of 2020 Applicant Discussion***

@AdaezeU If you can come up with a super-duper clever, extremely intriguing title, then go ahead. The reader needs to be gripped from the start, so, if you think you could do that better with the first sentence, rather than with a title, then don’t use one.

Officially two more weeks until D-Day!!

anyone else keep re-reading their application even though there’s nothing they can do now :-SS

RD applicant here – do you guys think it’s odd if none of my essays (CommonApp + Stanford supplements) address my prospective major?

@glasshours I mean as long as the rest of your application shows why you’re interested in that field!

what time do decisions come out?

3 PM Pacific Time!

What day do they come out?

December 11

@JPinkman the site says Dec 15??

@Xerxos I can totally agree with you on that one. I think I’ve thoroughly annoyed ever member of my household with college banter. If I even mention the word “Stanford” I’m met with rolling eyes. But ahh, next Friday is going to be very bittersweet…

Just checked back through my REA application and noticed two errors in one essay, does anyone know how lenient Stanford- or really any top college- is with errors? (all of my other essays have none). They are also small errors like writing affect instead of effect.

@ChemFire085 apparently stanford has had a trend over the years of actually releasing it the 10th-11th at 3 pm PST so that’s the projected release date for this year as well

Almost at the 10 day countdown! Anyone know how to best prepare for rejection? :stuck_out_tongue:

Questbridge people, Buckle up!

When do questbridge people find out?

December first, which, by my time, is in about 3 hours. lol

They still have a day though, by pacific time.

@violaqueen Netflix and tons of ice cream

Is anyone on here applying RD? Stanford is my first choice, but I had to apply EA to my safety school to get my app fee waived and I’m worried not applying REA will hurt my chances of getting in.
