For those who think decisions might not come until the 14th, last time the 15th was on a Tuesday, they still sent decisions the Friday before! http://www.stanforddaily.com/2009/12/16/stanford-accepts-753-in-early-action-cycle/
Stanford really needs to accept me. I don’t want to pay/finish all of my other apps.
@hopefulmuch because I came across it and thought I should share. So I did. No I’m not happy with them either. Hope no one at Stanford is anything like that
@kenyan254 Hey, Im sorry if I seemed offensive buddy!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebLzfkqNgWw&feature=youtu.be (Thats youtube. com)
And I totally agree. I couldn’t possibly handle that after watching stuff like that^
@hopefulmuch its alright bruh! Check the videos by ‘Cathy in College’ on YouTube! Everyone seems so darn happy at the Farm! ALL. THE. TIME!
@kenyan254 I can’t find any videos of cathy in college
@kenyan254 @Shoumei Its Cath In college. and thats the channels name.
@Shoumei here’s the link to one of the vids. https://youtu.be/KKXHKQ1i_Iw scroll down for the rest
Caveat: no turning back after watching these @-)
Cath is amazing! And that discover Stanford video, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it. :x
@hellolol it’s heaven have any of ever you ever gotten that discover Stanford pamphlet with the oregami thing at the back? I remember frantically trying (and failing) to form the tree in 10 seconds in full view of one of the admissions officers during a Stanford college fair :)) so I escaped to the washrooms and finally managed to get it done in like 10,000 hours. Walked back not hiding my invention/Stanford paper tree. and thats how I knew I’m never going to be an engineer. And that’s my single story
Yeah I did try doing it too! @kenyan254 It was insanely difficult to make!
@kenyan254 Yess!! It took some time but I refused to look at instructions :)) It was such a rewarding experience :’)
Funny how once I’d done it I felt like I was ready to build a car heard Stanford used that to weed out prospective kids sometime back? @hopefulmuch and @hellolol
@kenyan254 Really? That would be a fun task xD
@kenyan254 are you sure that’s even real?
That doesn’t sound real, @Elrathia. Stanford definitely wouldn’t be so nitpicky (and foolish) as to select undergraduates based on their ability to form an origami tree.
sighs The cute stories are never true.
@Elrathia not really. Just a rumor I overhead that I didn’t care to confirm. But even if it did, I doubt its still happening now
@kenyan254 @collegederp No, I meant the facebook chat thing.
Is this facebook group actually a thing?
I think people are deliberately doing that on the group.
A friend showed me another such group in which a girl who claimed to have a 2400 also claimed to have been admitted through QuestBridge. A guy said he had a 4.8 GPA and got in and she responded by saying, “Um no offense but how did you get in?” at which point, he explained how his mom met an “admissions guy” (I don’t know the insinuations here!)
