@nerdherd I am pretty sure there is a sibling legacy. Our college counselor told me about one student who applied to Stanford last year. I want to say her sister was either a Sophomore or a Junior at Stanford at that time. Although the younger one did not have as high of credentials as her older sister, she still was accepted to, actually, both Stanford and UC Berkeley. So, both sisters are at Stanford now.

im stressing out! I must say I really hope they don’t come on the 9th because the day after I have ACTs. Oh, and I go saturday to school so i still would be the “walking dead”
Will applying as African American give me a slight boost?
And Stanford usually accepts one kid from my school per year, there is a Hispanic from my school who is more qualified in every single aspect except Extra Curriculars (which I’m 100% sure he lied about to make himself sound better) and SATs (I only did better than him by 60 points, his subject tests blew mine away by like a 100). Since he’s applying will my chances be slimmer?

@ASAPJAZZY You guys pretty much at the same level on stats and hook, so I think it’ll come down to essays and recs, which Stanford especially puts lots of emphasis on

acknowledge that im gonna get rejected
if i get rejected ill be like ya i expected it and maybe get disappointed a little
if i get in ill be 900000000000 times happier

@ASAPJAZZY I’d be happy to read too! I’m also an African American competing with another Hispanic guy and white guy from my school for REA. I feel like my entire app is really solid but being on CC for so long makes me feel like my SAT score is trash LOL.

@CiteYourSources same!! I always thought I had a slight chance but once I discovered college confidential and all these crazy kids with 1580 SATS and internships at the White House or some crazy University I got hit with stress

Anyone know the stats on what percent get deferred from REA to regular admission pool. That to me seems like the worst torture!
