Hey guys —- Questbridge Stanford class of ‘22 admit here!! I’m so excited to have hundreds of new classmates tomorrow and I hope I will get to know a lot of you more as we become stanford students!! I just want to remind everyone that every single one of you have worked extremely hard to get to where you are today, and Stanford admittance or not you are going to be successful in whatever you choose to do, wherever you choose to go. I am proud of each and every one of you and how far you all have come to make it here today. That being said—- try to relax these last few days; everything is out of your hands, and you deserve a few moments, however fleeting, that are stress free (I know, much easier said than done). I can’t wait to see the decisions on Friday and to meet my fellow trees!! Good luck everyone
BLESS STANNY!!! the 8th!!! Whaattttt.
Is it another 37hours to 8Dec PST 4pm?
@gigichuck Yeah they asked for it and the Css profile a while back then I sent both…
I’m so nervous lol
4pm PT on Friday will be 1am on Saturday here in Johannesburg … I’m sure I won’t be able to sleep :-SS
@neonerudite wow that’s awesome!! Hopefully we all join you on the Stanford train!!
Hi guys, are your admission portals in Stanford website closed or are they still opened in the same way they have been for several months? I heard the website portal must be closed prior to the release date (12/8, for us), but mine is still opened. Thanks, and wish you guys best of luck!
@lutetium9 yeah mine is the same as usual
with that low of an acceptance rate, I know I should be expecting a flat-out rejection but there is always that little glimmer of hope of ‘what if…’ – which will for sure crush my spirit after knowing the results… sigh
Hi everyone! I’m applying RD & I have a question. How did you format your response to the short answer (50 words) of, “How did you spend your last two summers?” Did you just list what you did, elaborate on one or two activities, use full sentences/bullets, etc.?
With almost one day left till we find out our fate, just wanna say that it’s been a hell of a journey and you guys are all amazing. No matter what the decision is, you will strive in the future Best of luck to y’all (including myself)!
@writergirl0316 I mentioned two important things I did (one for each summer) and kind of expanded on what they did for me, like I did a nurse camp the summer before junior year and I mentioned how it introduced me to a lot of different careers in the medical field (which I’m interested in going into). So I would say don’t list, actually use the word limit to write ans slightly expand on a few things
It’s 11:11 make a wish… I think I know what all of ours are
Take a deep breath all! Stanford admit class of 2021 here. I was in your shoes last year. Stanford sends an email that your portal has been updated and then you can check your portal for the results. It can be very nerve-wracking, but also exciting as admission decisions come in. Remember that Stanford is just one parh, and there are lots of great options out there. I waited until all my decisions came in (even my acceptance to UCLA after being waitlisted). It took the pressure off as the “only” choice and allowed me to compare all the offers. Stanford was the right fit for me, but my good friend chose Williams College over Stanford, which was the right choice for her. Best of luck everyone!
I made a countdown to tomorrow’s decision: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20171208T18&p0=104&msg=Stanford+REA+Admissions+Decision&font=cursive
The anticipation is freaking killing me!!!
@Redeemed1 how does ur friend like williams college so far?
@nillupa she absolutely loves it! It has a very strong liberal arts prgram and hands on professors, which was a top priorirty for her. I am pursuing an engineering path, so it didn’t work for me, but for her, it had everything she was looking for. I saw her at Thanksgiving break and she said it was the perfect choice for her. She also said the people and community have been very welcoming.
@ivyoxbridge1 Same here! I have been thinking nonstop with the amount of anxiety I’m feeling.
The fact that the decision has been made already is so frightening; now, it’s just a matter of checking the results which is so surreal.
Good luck everyone I hope we can all be trees for the next four years!!
