Is there a waitlist for transfers?? What if someone applies to harvard etc and gets into both and takes the other haha. Ah the possiblities >.>;

There is a waitlist for transfers, someone from last year’s Stanford transfer thread was put on the waitlist and accepted 2 weeks later.

it would be an honor to be waitlisted even if never admitted. at the same token, however, it would also be very painful haha

i’m expecting that this e-mail will hit like a bomb, and what’s worse is not knowing when it will hit. i’ve been pretty blissful these past few weeks and now i feel my wall crumbling little by little lol

luckily i have finals, assignments, and projects to keep me occupied. i should make it through the week okay, though admittedly i’ve been clowning around for the past three hours

while i do love the well-wishing, i can’t help but chuckle at how self-defeating it seems. “good luck! i realize we’re competing for one of just a couple dozen seats, but hey man, i really hope you get it!” lol… i suspect there’d be a completely different attitude if wishes were prone to coming true… teehee

lol to me it is more of a ‘may the best man win’ type of thing. if he happens to advance over his competition then good for him; he must have done something extraordinary in the first place to have been given that distinction.

Just got the email from Stanford…
Rejected…
Booooooooo

Just go rejected! Damn it!

rejected, i knew that was coming but im still really really upset by it.

Rejected .

this blows.

I GOT IN

to Cal

REJECTED by stanford, im buying the ‘beat stanford’ shirt :D

Rejected as well. They only admitted 20 students this year, don’t feel so heartbroken guys. I didn’t cure cancer so it was a long shot anyways…haha

Waitlisted, oh well, 1.6 repeating % isn’t too promising

its actually 1.3 repeating % or less lol

( 20 students out of 1500+ applicants)

I FAiLED YOU ENTOMOM.

shutup riley you got into cornell at least…haha

I, on the other hand, got rejected by both cornell and stanford today, all within 1 hour. sigh

oh no way! Wait, did you apply to CAS?

That is truly awful. I offer you my sympathy.

I ended up not applying to CAS cause in order to be “competitve” I needed to complete the bio series 1 and 2 at my current school, and im not a science related major(econ) so im only taking 1 bio course for my general ed. So I ended up applying ILR. but i saw the tiny envelope from cornell and I was so hoping to see a transfer agreement for spring 2011…but it wasn’t. hoping for the best but expecting the worst…ahh life. lol

Whoops, didn’t see that they offered admission to +1200, not 1200. Wow, this was a pretty bad year.

Rejected .

Good try guys. Gratz to the waitlistee
