in…

Rejected.

Off to Ohio State I go, then! At least we’ll beat Stanford in the Rose Bowl next year, GO BUCKS!!

OMG!!! admitted!!!

rejected… and I stay at my current college, doing a major i Hate!

Oh god, admitted. Oh god. Oh god.

I don’t think I’ve ever received quite so much praise in a rejection letter before.

Ah, well. I’mma buy a house!

rejectedddd

@OlvBabshe:

Cong…

Would post your stats?

REJECTED. I guess that’s what you expect when its a ~1 % acceptance rate. Congrats to everyone who made it in.

WAITLISTED!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Haha! I’m seriously REALLY happy though. I thought the adcom had lost one of my teacher recs, but it turned out okay. I was 99% SURE that I was going to be rejected because of the “missing forms.” I can live on the waitlist for now. :)

@mark: I think the acceptance rate this year was a little closer to 4.29%. Not that it makes a huge difference. I hope some alternative plans fall through for you! :/

And to anyone who was accepted… erm… your spot is lookin’ mighty fine ;)

And many congrats! :)

HAHA goingforanobel, I’ll fight ya for it!!! Waitlisted as well, here. I was totally happy when I got the email. Duh, an acceptance would have been much more fabulous, but hey, it’s not over yet! I am now brimming with positivity, which was just what I needed to get through finals! After thirteen STRAIGHT hours of homework today, I literally reached a point at which I had become unaware that my left leg had fallen asleep… this became further complicated when I did not notice it was turning blue, and more so when it finally emitted a defeated cracking sound, separated from my body completely, and fell to the floor with a resounding “thud.”

Okay, the falling asleep part was true, and it was really intense, but I realized as I started typing my “leg falling asleep” story that it was not very interesting. And now it is. Yes, you are welcome.

Haha chocolate ice cream and precious sleep await, congrats to those accepted, and to those who weren’t, you still rock my socks!

*Goingforanobel- um, for no particular reason at all, could you possibly give me your address? And please not lock your door tonight? No reason…thanks!

;)

(but seriously, how awesome was that letter? Did you not instantly feel like a more incredible human being than you did five minutes before??)

@goingforanobel
@chasethecarrot
I probably not going there…and I am sure there is someone having the same thoughts. So you guys have decent shots.

@halfkiller: I’ll have to admit that I was a bit surprised that they admitted 60 transfer students. I felt pretty sure that out of those 60 people, some also got accepted to HYC, MIT, or other top tier schools and would decide to go elsewhere. Where are you planning on going?

@CTC: I hope that we BOTH get in.
I remember your posts in the Harvard thread and I hope that things work out with Stanford as well. And yes, the letter made me feel like such an incredible human being that I started getting dizzy and had to walk out of work to take a breather ;)

@chasethecarrot
hey I’m also deciding between two schools like @halfkiller is, so keep the faith okay (: I’ll definitely inform the schools soon so they can inform you guys asap and then you can start the celebrations (: good luck and all the best! I really hope both of you get in (:

@goingforanobel
well…I am kind of thinking of not going anywhere and stay in my current college…It is weird…I know…

I dont think its too weird. In transferring, i only applied to some of the most competitve institutions. Its not that i dont like my present institution. I really love it. The big thing is that there are some opportunities that these institutions offer that my present college doesnt.

@goingforanobel
Yeah…u r right…my parents also pressed on my since my current college is not well-known in China…but I do love here…I am afraid that if I go to Stanford, I will feel too stressful to be surrounded by people much more smarter than me…

@halfkiller: its definitly something to consider. As much as i would love to go, i dont think i could convince you not to go. I found a thread from someone who was in a similar situation to you. I`ll try to dig it up and post it whenever i jump on a real computer.
whatever your decision is, im sure it`ll be the best. Keep me updated! :)

@goingforanobel
Thanks and hope you can get whatever you want!
