Hi I am an international student and English isn’t my first language. I took the September ACT and my results are:
Overall: 32
English: 32
Math: 35
Reading: 24 (dropped below previous test score which is 27)
Science: 35
I’m hoping to apply ED to Cornell university to do Physics. But as you can see, my reading score is quite depressing. I’m not capable of finishing ACT reading’s question. Will Cornell or any other unis consider that international applicants do have it rough for the reading section since it’s not our main language? ACT also gives STEM score this time. Will this give me more leverage to show that I’m capable of doing Physics?
I see. Well there’s the logic in that. So i guess the best thing to do is to try taking ACT again next time and hopefully improve my reading score. Based on what I’ve read, some colleges gives score choices(but not Cornell) which in this case I should have met a satisfactory score for math and science. I suppose I should give my attention more towards reading and English then
