yep.... stern is the second hardest business school to get into, and with a 3.7 gpa ul be able to show penn that u can handle the work load well.

Is Stern really the second hardest? I thought it would be Berkley or MIT?

You can't get into Berkeley/MIT business programs as a freshman.

Hmm, with a 3.4 I probably couldn't get in right? Eh I'd probably fail out of wharton lol

Ooo on a serious note to the above poster, Are you taking stern classes or pretty much all CAS? You'll probably get in either way, but next semester try more business classes. You should be able take Fin accounting, FFM if youve taken Stats, Marketing and Information Technology.

Stern = school for Wharton rejects. This is straight out of the horse's ass (ie. Stern students).

Make your own conclusions.

Actually, I'm not sure if 3.7 is sufficient. Wharton's internal transfer (i.e. among schools at Penn) cutoff for rising sophomores was 3.7, I've heard. They'll be even more selective toward external transfers from schools like Stern.

LOL. until they see a transcript saying

Writing the Essay

World Cultures

Calculus

Science (or Microecon if you got AP credit)

.......

basically all we are taking during frosh year is Arts and Science requirement courses... almost non stern

It's not as hard as you'd think.

I can corroborate that the cutoff for a sophomore internal transfer is a 3.7, and you have to have taken micro and macroeconomics.

I don't know about needing to show you've taken a hojillion finance classes...I mean, they want to see drive and whatnot. Also: Penn and Wharton expecially are notoriously ridiculous difficult about transfer credit. I don't know about transfers, but I do know that if you wanted to take accounting at another school it would not count. This is true for ALL business schools. Maybe they'd make an exception for a transfer.

I'm trying to think if I've ever met a Wharton external transfer...to think of it, I do not think that I have.

I've met Wharton external transfers, but only once I think. The difficulty with external transfers is that you'll be competing against internal transfers.
