Still on Waitlist?

Anybody still on the waitlist? I know of a number of kids, including my nephew, who are still waiting. It is pretty excrutiating!!!

i know two people who are still waiting, i figure a&m is just waiting to see who accepts so they know how much space they have left. apparantly about 15% of the kids get off the waitlist, the others are denied.

I talked to admissions today and they said they hope to start notifying waitlisted students starting May 15. We have the dilemma that our daughter is receiving local scholarships and they want to know what college to to send the checks to! Our daughter missed the academic admit by only 10 points on the SAT.

Wow mel89, 10 points and wait listed? What kind of stats do some of you guys have?

I was rank 14/132 and got waitlisted, top 11% missed top 10 by 1 person -_-

138/947, 28 ACT, accepted to political science

I'm in as of today! It is General Studies, but that's okay as I will prove myself. Just last week I received 2 scholarships! My family is so excited!!

how were you notified mel89? and are you in tamu or blinn team?

In TAMU from the wait list. I had turned down Blinn. There is no student housing available according to their web so now I am not sure where I will live.

i just came off the waiting list today. also General Studies. but I already accepted at the Virginia Military Institute 2 weeks ago, so I'll probably just stick with VMI. ;-)

So how were you notified? The AIS Online thing?

dunno- i haven't checked AIS since I was originally waitlisted at Texas A&M. I got a big envelope in the postal mail today with an acceptance letter and a bunch of booklets.

how is it I'm on the waitlist when I got into UT-Austin, UM-Ann Arbor, UW-Seattle, UI-Urbana Champaign, UM-College Park?

anyone else heard anything?

My nephew is still waiting, and waiting, and waiting.....

my daughter is still waiting as well. She is top 23% out of 1008 students, 1900 on SAT. 4 years varsity tennis, tennis captain. She did apply late January though. We'll see...

Still waiting here too, 1280 on SAT, 2007 Texas State wide piano competition winner, go to the one of the best private schools in texas, 4 years varsity basketball. I just learned the other day that if you had above a 1300 you get automatically accepted...My 560 on the Math ****ed me over.

i'm not sure that applying in january matters. i applied on the very last day they were accepting apps. got waitlisted, but was taken off the waitlist already on the 10th.

some other lucky waitlister will be taking my spot soon though since i'm going to turn it down.

hopefully tomorrow we will hear something.

tick tock tick
