My OOS son (35 ACT and 3.87 GPA) received his acceptance into Engineering on Jan 15th. He has not heard from honors or buckeye scholarship. Has anyone else received any of this information recently?
My daughter (in state) was admitted back in December and we have not heard anything about scholarships either.
I called today. From what they lady said, they have been issued already but there’s a chance that a few more will come out on a rolling basis. I was surprised by this considering I haven’t heard of many offers.
Another person in a thread said that they had gotten a different answer that they will be issuing more into February and maybe March. Maybe the person I talked to wasn’t having the best day, this is confusing to say the least!
Typically they issue a wave of Maximus (with Buckeye for OOS), then Provost (with Buckeye for OOS) and then Deans (with Buckeye for OOS) then just Buckeye for OOS. I have only seen l folks posting here re: the first wave so I would assume more are coming.
@adlgel off-topic but i just need to let you know that I smile every time I see your profile pic Perfection!
I got an email that scholarships will be sent via mail by the end of February
No word yet for us on FA of any kind which has torqued up the household anxiety. (Not me: I’m chill.) As for Honors, our daughter heard she was selected for Honors Engineering only because she was offered a multidisciplinary business/Engineering spot (IBE) and in that message it said “because you’re in the Honors program…”. It was a pretty lame way to find out but I’m not surprised. With our first we found out he’d gained admission to a college via an email saying he didn’t qualify for the highest scholarship. Colleges seem to screw up the messaging and timing pretty regularly.
Son admitted back in November. OOS. Nothing yet.
@OCDaddy - If possible can you please let me know more about that IBE program. My D is invited to business/Engineering program (IBE). I read what they posted on their website that Engineering major gets a business minor and vice versa. was the program rigor very challenging? how was the support for student from tutors, teachers, and peers? was it worth enrolling for that program? did it influence career path?
sorry for off topic question.
If this is helpful, here are my S19’s dates/notifications:
Applied 11/1 (although asked to resend Common App submission date to confirm EA timeliness);
Admitted 1/20 (at 11:24pm on a Sunday!)
Offered 1/30, Buckeye and Maximus Scholarships
Holding out hope for Morrill. I emailed to see if they considered S19’s Morrill app as timely, since there was initial confusion in AO whether he met the EA deadline. No reply yet to this inquiry.
Hope this helps, and good luck to all.
FWIW my OOS son was accepted 11/18/17 and received his award letter for the National Buckeye & Trustees scholarships on 2/23/18. Good luck to everyone!
@learning19 Sorry, she hasn’t enrolled yet so no clue. Not even sure she’s interested.
I went to buckeye link way back in December and they told me they usually send out the scholarships in the end of fab or mid March since their scholarship dead line is fab 1st
National Buckeye and Provost!!

@jabsmom10 - Can you let us know stats, when applied, etc.
Daughter applied just before the 11/1 deadline and was admitted in last wave (I forget when that was, but it seemed pretty recent). She got her scholarship info last week. It was broken down into 2 different numbers - 13500 (buckeye) and 3000 (maximus)
@doglover2001 - Can you share your daughters stats with us. My son still waiting and i thought he met the stats needed.
