Study plan CR and Writing

I took my first SAT last May and got 560Reading, 800 Math, 520 Writing. I am hoping to boost up the score this summer and get over 2200+. So, i would like to get some help from you experts..
I understand that vocabulary is really important for sentence completion but how can you get better with passage related questions besides reading articles/novels ?
What is an effective way to improve my writing score? I got 11 on essay so no worries about that.

I’m not really an expert, but here is my advice:

The Sentence Completion questions almost exclusively test vocabulary, so it is easy to improve there. Most people find passages very difficult to improve on, but I think just taking more practice tests is the best method to do so.

For Writing, I would recommend getting a book that teaches you the grammar mistakes commonly tested on the SAT. And again, practice tests are your best friend. Use the ones in the Blue Book from collegeboard.

Get an SAT review book (I suggest Barron’s 2400 Aiming for the Perfect Score) and practice. By practice, I don’t mean do the practice problems, because that’ll surely mislead you; use the content of the book to LEARN the grammar rules and critical reading strategies, and then use what you learned to take the practice tests in the Big Blue Collegeboard book.

On a side note, when you review your tests after completion, don’t move on until you fully understand why you got a question wrong. Also, review ALL the questions (even the ones you got right!); sometimes you get something right by guessing, and forgetting to go over it doesn’t help you for the future. If you don’t understand a question, ask a friend - if it doesn’t help, I’m sure CC will help you out.
