Update: the person i talked to said that if the frq/ multiple choice sheets were misplaced I would have been notified.

This really sucks, my summer was going so well and then collegeboard screws things up just to mess with me.

has anyone ever heard of having two scores swapped?
because my comp sci ab test was a 1 and i have taken many programming classes before so i expected at least a 4. whereas on my physics c test, i got a 4 when i didnt try very hard and didnt answer almost a quarter of the test.

i mean i still got college credit for the class i would have passed out with the cs test because of the classes i took, but i dont want my college to second guess my skills. i'm considering a rescore, but i dont want to pay since i already have credit. i will call them on monday regardless.

Don't assume you would be contacted if a part of a test to be scored is missing. If you call to ask, be very specific about what you want to know. When my D was dealing with her missing FR, it became clear that the parts of the test have some kind of status code. It's not enough to know the score...find out about the code that indicates whether or not there were any answers at all.

daffymom, did the mistakes mean that he ended up taking classes he didn't need to take? CB really has a good thing going ... no need to worry about customer service when you have a monopoly!

Do you think it would effect my score if I put circles around the numbers, I was not sure of? Iam thinking of rescoring my WHAP since I gotta 3 only. So aggravated

rockermcr, I wasn't saying you can't get them rescored if you have a high grade, I'm saying it's completely worthless to do so. That's not what the service was made available for, but of course they're not going to stop you from giving money if you misinterpret it.

Okay, so you take AP exam x, and get a score of 4. Your college y will only give you credit for that exam if you get a 5. You are 100% sure that you deserved a 5 for your exam. Would you rescore?

They will only rescore MC. If you got a 4, I doubt your MC was incorrectly scored. Most likely, the FR reader marked you down ... and there is nothing you can do about that. Of course, you are always free to spend even more money & get it rescored.

Personally, if I was certain I was that awesome in a particular subject, I would contact the department head at the college & request a placement test. That would probably be more productive.

I'm about to request a rescore for my AP US Gov't exam which I got a 3 on. After the exam, I was really confident that I got a 5 and probably would even have been content with a 4, but I'm REALLY surprised by the score I received.

Has anyone in previous years in a similar situation been successful with a rescore for this exam? Moreover, anyone who took it this year feeling the same way?

I'm kind of confused about my calculus score.

I got a 3 on BC, which I completely expected.
But, I got a 2 on the AB subscore. I know it's possible to have a lower subscore, but it's pretty rare, and I was sure I knew the AB stuff 15x more than the BC.

Should I rescore?

I'm worried, because I got some college credit for my 3 on BC, and I don't want to lose that if the score goes lower somehow.

I just called them this morning, and they told me that in order to get anything rescored, I must write to them, then mail it or fax it. Only then will they call me back to continue the process.

I just sent in 75$ to rescore 3 of my tests..it's going to take 6-10 weeks.

I got a 2 on my AP Lang test....we have an AP instructor in our school who personally graded a practice exam of mine that I received a 4 on, and I've always excelled in that class...

What do you guys think I should do?

Should I opt to rescore?

Computer Science AB - 1 (self-study, spent about a month reading AB textbook, did no practice tests)

Last Year:
Computer Science A - 5 (took AP class)

Should I opt to rescore:
4- US History
790- sat II
over 100 US history class average in a class where tests were only past AP questions.
I was sure I got a 5.

rw9700, it seems they messed up a lot on the comp sci ab test...

i hate this, i want to know what i really got

Juicy08, what are you, made out of money? Collegeboard sure loooves you.

But seriously, three tests? Oh man, I am interested to see how this turns out...will daddy be mad when he finds out his money went down the drain? There's no effing way they made a mistake grading three of your tests, that's just ridiculous that you're wasting you're money on that.

Oh, and don't bother defending yourself by saying "Oh, I worked hard to raise all that money with two jobs, whatever." If it's not daddy's money then it's even worse.

Go donate to charity or something and get over yourself. So you messed up on a test. SO WHAT?

Oddsmaker: don't rescore. For all you know you could have been 1 point off of the "five" you were so sure of. It honestly doesn't matter.

yea no kidding itsmike...i really don't know what happened. i mean seriously, it's not like i regularly try to get 1s or anything....i think i saw a few other ppl who got 1s on the AB this year...u callin in for a rescore?

Wow, this thread was way more successful that I thought it would be. The first 3 days I had no replies, lol. I sent in the 50 dollars for my 2 tests plus 14 dollars for the FR booklets. That way I have completely covered any mistakes. If my scores go up, I'll be really happy and if they don't I'll try again next year and know that my AP scores were 100% correct.
