suggest some colleges

<p>Major: Communications/Media</p>

<p>Citerion:
-music scene [thus im leaning towards california]
-not too much hardcore party
-decent reputation
-diversity [no dominating race, just the right mix]
-safe city
-modern campus is a plus [don't like old architecture]
-beach, at least driving distance, is a plus</p>

<p>Selectivity: I'm transferring from CC in cali, so must accept transfers.
Budget: <40k</p>

<p>You can suggest any school without considering the stats cause I'll just be adding them to my list. I'm leaning towards California L.A area, but I'm open to other states too.</p>

<p>Current List (actually none of them fits the citerion perfectly):
UCSB
UCLA
CSULB
Pomona
USC</p>

<p>So any other schools to suggest, other than UCs? It doesn't have to fit the citeria perfectly as there won't be such a school, but anything close?</p>

<p>Northwestern is very strong in journalism and it’s on Lake Michigan----if you’re OK with a cold beach! Chicago should have a good music scene. The music scene is hardly better anywhere than NY—what about NYU? Or should you think about Nashville and Vanderbilt? A lot does depend on stats, though.</p>
