<p>So of course I live on campus. About a month ago someone on our hall stuck gum on our door, and then over the weekend my roommate said someone stuck a lollipop wrapper on our door. We never really talk to the people on our hall, but if we do we're always nice to them so I don't understand why they keep putting stuff on our door. I'm not sure if I'm just making a big deal out of this, or if they're just joking around. They all are loud and annoying, but I never say anything about it. Any suggestions on what to do if it happens again? Or should I just take the stuff off of the door and not say anything like I always do?</p>

<p>They might not mean anything malicious–anytime you get college freshmen in a dorm you’re going to get a recipe of weirdness. But I agree that it’s annoying. I’m going to guess that your floormates will get bored of sticking random junk on people’s doors eventually and find something better to do with their time.</p>

<p>I’m not sure if they stick things on anyone else’s door, I haven’t looked. Btw, we aren’t Freshmen, we’re Juniors and Seniors so you would think they would be a bit more mature, but I guess not. I just feel bad for them the next time they do it because my roommate has a horrible temper. </p>
<p>Just remove it and throw it away and say nothing. Getting riled up feeds the behavior. Maybe post a picture of a big eyeball on your door or something humorous that implies you are watching them. Take it as a joke but be above the behavior. </p>
<p>I don’t think putting a big eyeball on the door is going to be humorous to them or make them stop. That right there seems like it would feed the behavior. I don’t know, not saying anything basically says “Hey, you can keep sticking stuff on my door, no problem!” They have no right to do that, especially when we haven’t done a thing to them. </p>
