Admissions Decision
April 10, 2015 May 8, 2015 i cannot post all because has some details of mine

@Dilletante101‌ I thought my app was decent – I was iffy about 1.5 questions, but I did them as I interpreted them. I’m pretty sure my letters of rec were pretty good (both of the teachers told me they wrote really good ones).

Other than that, I have a 35 ACT composite, I’m pretty involved in extracurriculars (folk dance, choir, school newspaper, job, etc) not to mention being on my school’s math team.

As for my math experience, I don’t have much that’s very formal. I participate in the local math league contests, placing in each meet this year as an oralist, but that’s basically the extent of my official math experience. Other than that, I do a lot of self-enrichment through reading math journals, teaching muself via online courses and other resources, etc., which I mention in my app. Hopefully they take that into account :stuckouttonguewinkingeye:

Arghh I’m counting down the days to April 10 now …

Are y’all applying to any other summer programs??

Got a likely letter from SUMaC. Any one of you got?

what is this can you give more details?

this is a must read for everyone!

I wasn’t aware of there being a likely letter for this, congratulations!

bro how r u guys doing jee prep

want to study maths in IIT kanpur

What’s jee?

What other math camps have you guys applied to?

What are my chances?
Female, junior at public high school with no math programs/competitions organized
5.131 Weighted GPA, 4.0 UW
Taking Calc BC and receiving an A
Took two math classes last year in A’s in both
Perfect math section on ACT PLAN
34 ACT
209 PSAT (without any studying)
Only didn’t complete one problem but feel strongly about the rest
Strong letters of rec and response portion
Finished and submitted a month early
Run my school’s math club

i’m not sure that anyone can accurately judge what chances are. From what I gathered though, the admissions exam questions are weighed heaviest. I’m in a pretty similar situation as you except I’m a male and I submitted the day of the deadline (I dont believe this has any effect on admissions chances). I think if you answered 9/10 questions with good letters of rec, you have a good chance of being accepted! Lets just all hope for the best

how did you do in AIME?

Hi friends. Anyone hear back from SUMaC

nope, i’m waiting until april 10th (someone posted this is decision date?)

How many of you are international applicants?
