Summer 2012?

I'm currently at another Florida university, but I am looking to transfer into Summer 2012 (next summer). FSU wants the application to be in roughly six months ahead of the scheduled admission date, so I know I have to apply around Nov/Dec of this year. Right now I'm going into my second year of college, so I will (probably) be an incoming junior if I get accepted. My GPA right now is a 3.4, but I know I can increase this during this summer/fall. Do I have a good chance of getting accepted as a junior?

Also, I am a bit confused. My major is psychology - and on FSU's admissions site, it says for the foreign language requirements that students need either 2 courses in high school, or 8 semester hours in college. I took 3 years of Spanish in high school. At my current university (Florida Atlantic) foreign language is REQUIRED no matter what. Do I still need this to get accepted into FSU since I will be transferring?

South Florida! Me too!

Anyway, the 2 years in high school/ 2 semesters in college is needed as an ADMISSION requirement. If you have that, you’re good. However, certain majors require mastery through the intermediate level, or 3 semesters in college for graduation. You can check that via FSU bulletin for psychology.

As far as your chances, I’d say you have a good shot with your AA. Hope I helped!

I am transferring this fall into the accounting program. I got accepted with just the two years I did a foreign language in highschool. Also if u get your AA first you will have no problem transferring at all.
