Hey, is anyone taking summer@brown courses this year?

Hi! I think I’m gonna be taking the global health leadership program. how about you?

ohh, cool! I’m taking the precollege course, from june 20-july 8.

I think I’ll be doing the 3 week Intro to Music Production course. :]

oh, and is it a good idea to take two courses, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon?

I’m thinking about TheatreBridge. Does anyone know if it’s hard to get into? Also, how generous are they with scholarships?

im also taking the precollege course, or possibly the sports-medical program, im not sure yet

Hey! I’m most likely taking Brain Basics: From Biology to Behavior.
FeatheredBoa, today I received my acceptance letter (even though you get an email, too) and the letter saying I received full scholarship. It’s worth it to apply!

If I get accepted, I will be attending the leadership institute during july 11 - 22 or June 27 - July 8. Crossing my fingers!

I just got accepted into the program. Hopefully I’ll be doing So You Think You Want to Be a Doctor from June 20-July 8.

I got my acceptance e-mail yesterday : )
I’m planning on doing a history/cultural program…I can’t decide which though…
micaela769, how long after you got an e-mail did you get a letter and the financial aid info?

I got accepted as well. I’m either going June 20 - July 8 or June 27 - July 8.

I got my acceptance letter a couple weeks ago and I just got notified of a full scholarship today. So wordgirl, it takes a while before you get the scholarship info, if you applied. There are so many interesting courses I want to take but I’m most likely to do either So You Want To Be A Counselor? or Brain Basics: From Biology to Behavior.

Im also planning to go this year! Not sure exactly when im going. haha but hoping to take Psychology pre-college program!

Hey for all you accepts, firstly, congratulations :D. And, if you do not mind, can you please post some of your GPA’s and stuff, because I just applied, and was wondering what type of people get in. Thank You!!!

Last semester I had a 4.1 GPA (5 A’s and 2 A+'s in overall course grades, inclusive of exam grades).

Hey guys, I attended summer @ Brown in the summer of 2010, and I LOVED it. My cumulative GPA was a 3.45 with all honors and APs (though I go to a very prestigious private school known well by universities, so it’s considered a far better GPA than it would be in a public school), and I got accepted without a problem. I did not qualify or apply for financial aid, but aside from that, feel free to PM me with any questions about the program or the classes.

To those of you wondering whether you will get accepted, this program isn’t particularly selective. If you have above a 3.2 or so GPA and challenging classes, getting in shouldn’t be a problem at all.

Congrat to all the people who are attending this summer with fa.
definetely interested in for next summer. So the FA is based on need or merit??

The financial aid is merit and need.

To those of you who received financial aid, did you get information about it in an email or only in the letter?
