Summer Dorm

Hi, I am going to attend University of Florida over summer and I was wondering the best place to stay. My first choice is Springs because it is really nice compared to anywhere else. As my second/third choice, I don't know if I want to stay at Murphree, Rawlings, or Beaty. Between those three which two are the best/ most convenient?

Best/ most convenient - that would be Murphree for me

Rawling will most likely be all freshmen, so its the best place to meet more people.

Yeah I was leaning more towards Murphree. Is Springs still a good choice as number 1?

springs is nice, but is about a 7 minute bike ride to a majority of the classes (vs 1-2 minutes for murphree, rawlings, broward…). if you dont mind riding your bike, go for it. If you want to be close and still have nice dorms, the next best is murphree

Jennings was renovated last summer. My sister is currently living there as a freshman. She loves it. Springs is far (you might even need to take a bus/bike to class). I have a friend in rawlings and it isn’t really the nicest if thats important to you. I would say jennings is the best since it is nice and newly renovated and close to everything. But i just remembered its not available for summer. >,< however, its definitely my first choice for fall. Murphree is probably my first choice for summer, then springs, then reid.

If you want to look at all the residence halls you should add the UF housing page on facebook. They have pictures of all the areas on campus.
I hope this helps!

I wanted to choose Jennings for the summer but it wasn’t available

Is there a deadline for housing application? I heard that you can apply for housing before you submit your $200 deposit for tuition.
