My school asked mento do research project for intel next year. I really want to do it in economics. I know I'm a little late onto the game, but are there any economics research programs. Also, besides the prestigious programs, are there any long island based

That’ll be a little hard to find. My advice is just to contact a professor at your local university and ask if he/she is willing to be your mentor.

Um… Intel is for science/math, not economics.

@iceui2 economics implies math…

No, economics is a social science that concerns the distribution of the world’s limited resources. You probably meant to do a project in game theory, which is a subset of math. Winning projects do not tend to explore the applications of game theory, but the functionalities behind it.

my bad i thought it was implied. But yeah your right about my subject being game theory. I want to do a game theory analysis of a resource in a certain region. Any suggestions for a program that would help me?

[Clark Scholars?](http://www.clarkscholars.ttu.edu/)

Yes, definitely consider Clark Scholars. Let me know if you have any questions, since I went there last year :). We went 4 for 4 in Intel STS.

What colleges did you apply to, iceui2? Did you apply anywhere early and if so, what college(s) was/were it/they and were you accepted?

^Probably not the place to discuss this, but I was deferred at Yale and recently received a likely letter to Columbia. Out of 6 guys from Clark Scholars last year, we have 3 MIT’s, 2 Columbia’s and 1 Yale (with RD decisions yet to come). In other words, we’re all going to college! :)
