Summer/Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

Yeah I guess both programs are so good that it isnt possible to compare them. But at UT the PetE department is smaller compared to A&M’s does that impact the job offers you get?
UT as a whole is a prestigious university and their department is much selective. I am confused

Not necessarily but since there department is smaller there classes may fill up quicker and you may not get some classes , also since its smaller the competition is more intense towards internships and etc.

@Dayeedkhan honestly the only thing that matters is what type of environment you like more

Lol that just made it even more harder.
Best of luck guys I hope you don’t have to wait much longer.

Eeeeek! My transcript was just sent to UT! I just got the text from the StudentClearinghouse! Now only few hours (but if we are really honest, days) until my application goes to complete/review! How long did it take y’all to go from complete to review?

I turned my transfer app the night of March 1st (I was editing my essays until my eyes couldn’t stare at a screen anymore) and it went into review after a couple of days, it didn’t take them long at all.

Is Moody ever going to release decisions? This wait is absolutely killer.

got in! Economics major, they did not notify me or anything, i just happened to log into my account.

That’s awesome! Congrats! Maybe the recent acceptances, even if they are only from COLA, means that the rest of us will hear something soon

@Dayeedkhan Congrats on getting in!! Can you share your stats please?

Transferring from Lone Star Community College
-53 credit hours

  • CGPA 4.0
  • 2 letters of Rec.

^ Always great to see a fellow LSC students accepted! I wish there was a group for us on campus trying to transfer to UT or TAMU. There are a lot of us and it would be cool to hear about the process and adjustment from people who have been accepted and go there. I told my academic advisor that I would be more than glad to come back and speak if I get in.

Today’s answer on when McCombs will release their decisions: Can be as “early” as May 25th but no later than June 1st.

I also asked today because I had a question about MyStatus and they said that they have no idea about the order of what schools will be admitted and they barely have an idea on when they will be released.

UT has received my final transcript and they said it will be a few days until my application changes to complete. SO CLOSE BUT SO FAR!

@TransferUTA Hey, I go to UTD as well and was wondering if you sent the transcripts electronically or by mail? Also, did you wait for all your grades to be posted before requesting a transcript?

@TransferUTA @pnkvilas , I go to UTD too. I uploaded mine manually today. Got it from galaxy to my email and then uploaded to UT. They do accept it as a self upload.

So hope we see our results soon!!!

mid-May :frowning:

@MyUTAustin I"m pretty sure it says you cannot upload your final transcript. I called them and it has to be officially uploaded. Also when you click on the my status page it says it needs to be sent from your school either by mail or through SPEEDE which UTD does not offer.

"You may not upload this transcript.

You must mail an official copy to the university, hand deliver it to one of our locations, or have your college/university submit it to us using SPEEDE (if available at your college/university)."

@TransferUTA if you don’t mind me asking, which address did you mail the transcript to? I’m confused about which UT address to put down.
