Hi guys,

here's my question.

I'm enrolled in 7 credits for the summer (4 are study abroad).

How long does it usually take for aid packages to process for the summer?
I haven't touched my loans for 2011-2012 year (so i should qualify for 5500/2500 = $7500 in federal loans, yes?).

The FA office won't give me a straight answer; I'm just wondering about people's past experiences with it.

Thank you!

I’d like to know too since I’ll be here for the summer and need to know if I’m going to sublet or go with uni housing…

I got an reply from yesterday that summer aid probably would be distributed this week.

7.5k in loans? For one summer? That’s like half of my loan cap.

No summer course (or even sets of three) is worth that much. Really.

I contacted the financial aid office in person and had it all taken care of. If you’re studying abroad, though, please make sure you’ve filled out the budget form!

Evitaperon, your comment isn’t constructive or helpful. A month of that summer will be spent in Europe studying under two of the most interesting and influential professors in the English department. It’s worth it to me. In other words, an entire month of LIVING abroad and studying (4 credits), plus a three credit course on grounds. So yes, it is worth it to me.
