Any one heard from Stony Brook?

Stony brook is giving out decisions quickly , we applied Nov-22 before thanksgiving got our decision Dec 1st week it’s fast

We heard from Stony Brook last week. Acceptance but no financial info yet

@NJcollege2021 did you sign up for the acceptance student portal, and if you did is it because that is where your child is going? Somebody said the financial awards could be there but I don’t think my daughter will go there so I don’t want to miss this information.

Yes I did sigin into SOLAR portal and checked we didn’t get any merit.
We are not eligible for Need basis

So logging into Solar doesn’t mean you accept and want to go there? We won’t get financial aid either but the letter mentioned merit.

Nope logging into SOLAR means you not yet accepted , solar has different folders you can check various details
Most of colleges has similar setup I did same for NJIT and UDel to check few things
We will decide or accept by Feb :slight_smile:

I just got the Happy Holidays email from Binghamton. Does this mean I’m accepted?

Lol, 100 percent kidding. (So please, no one start speculating what this might mean!)

But I would have much preferred a decision to a holiday email.

Guess we will find out soon enough.

Bing has to come out. If that Cornell rumor was actually true, then they should start releasing tonight or tomorrow night.

The Cornell rumor was made up. By me. Made up.

As to whether there is the possibility of truth behind it, who knows. Either way, Cornell comes out tonight at 7 so if they are really waiting for Cornell kids to be accepted ED and withdraw then you are looking at New Year for decisions since you have like 10 days to withdraw and Bing is closed over break.

Yea that’s crazy and honestly very smart rumor I do believe it.

The Cornell rumor makes absolutely no sense. I applied to Bing but did not apply to Cornell. Multiple students did the same. It is a whole other school, why would they care about Cornell and when their admissions decision is released? The website does say January 15 so no reason for everyone to get anxious because the admissions decision has not been released a month prior. You will all do fine and end up in the school that is right for you.
