When did u find out about ur deferral?
did anyone get anything today? i applied EA and still haven’t gotten anything…
@hmniF2000 would you mind posting your stats so I can get an idea? I’m nervous that I’ll be deferred
I really want to know if anyone got a decision tonight
it is just so difficult the way they release decisions. Other schools do it all at once so you really can put it in the back of your mind until just a few days before. This way, people like myself haunt this thread, are constantly looking at the clock once the late afternoon rolls around and are occupied too much with it all. It really is a time waster.
A deferral to RD is not an automatic rejection @hmniF2000. It just means that they want to decide on you when they have their entire RD pool in. Bing doesn’t want to fill their entire 22 class only with EA applicants is all.
I got deferred to binghamton as well tonight 
@margarett I 100% agree. this is stressing me out so much and it’s all me and my friends have been talking about for days. I just want a set date when everyone finds out. Everyone is like “oh well you’ll know by January 15th” but that’s not what I mean. Some people knowing and others anxiously waiting while we all turned them in for the same deadline is very annoying.
@violingirl20 the agony is so prolonged compared to previous years when they didn’t tell anyone until mid Dec. This year it was mid Nov!
@margarett my friend applied ED to Johns Hopkins and she’s freaking out more about these Binghamton decisions (she finds out Dec. 15 from them but she thinks she’s getting rejected)
It’s very hard. Hopefully we can all find out soon! I gotta tear myself away now and get stuff done! LOL

ECs - I am the founder and sole director for our school’s drama club, which I direct two public shows a year. I am also the founder and President of the Young women’s S.T.E.M and Leadership club for girls grades 4-6, Science Olympiad medalist, Student Council President, and GSA (gay straight alliance) member. I play the clarinet, cello, and piano for the performance band. I have participated in 7 musicals. I tutor students in the elementary school, and I’m part of New Visions, a program that allows me to take 4 college courses while working hands on in a hospital for the first half of the day. I also started taking college courses my junior year, and I am now taking 7 college classes.

Got deferred from binghamton tonight. I thought I would get denied!! Im happy that I am being considered for Regular Decision. If I get into binghamton, I will consider it

@hmniF2000 wow you’ve done so much!! I really hope you get in regular - you deserve a spot. Bing shouldn’t weigh test scores so heavily - that’s probably the only reason you got deferred. I think you’ll get in
